Removable Gooseneck (RGN) Trailers
Removable gooseneck (RGN) trailers are designed for drive-on machinery like crawler dozers and pavers. The front neck detaches to create a safe ground-level ramp, allowing equipment to drive on without cranes or steep ramps.

Permits & Oversize Loads in Ontario
Transporting heavy machinery across Ontario requires compliance with provincial highway regulations. In Ontario, oversized or overweight equipment may require a permit from the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) before moving on public roads.
Tell us the machine’s weight and dimensions and we will check whether the move needs a permit and plan the route around it.
Permits may set approved routes and travel times, so exact dimensions and weights at booking help avoid delays.

How a Float Move Works
We follow a straightforward five-step process to ensure every heavy equipment transfer is completed safely and efficiently.
- Quote request with dimensions and weights You provide equipment details, including make, model, operating weight, external dimensions, pickup and drop-off locations, and preferred dates.
- Route assessment and permit planning We plan the route and check whether the load needs an MTO oversize or overweight permit.
- Loading and securement Our operator positions the trailer on-site and secures your machine at its tie-down points.
- Transit with GPS tracking Your equipment travels with an experienced operator while dispatchers use GPS tracking to monitor progress and provide arrival updates.
- Safe offloading and sign-off The operator inspects the drop-off zone, releases the tie-downs, unloads the machinery safely, and collects your delivery sign-off.
